The
successful candidate will:
- Communicate effectively both in the written and oral form.
Have the ability to prepare and deliver high-
quality presentations and translate technical information to diverse
audiences.
- Respond to technical questions and resolve problems
regarding GIS software tools, applications, and
products.
- Possess modern and progressive people management skills.
- Learn and apply contemporary software development system
life cycle and project management
methodologies.
- Travel statewide for meetings and conferences with the
ability to stay overnight.
Desired qualifications include:
- A bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science or
related field.
- At least three courses in GIS and/or mapping fundamentals
that covers projection, scale, map
design, GIS analysis, and data input in to a GIS.
- Formal training in ESRI GIS environment, either through
college coursework, vendor classes, or
WSDIT GIS classes and three or more years experience using ArcGIS
software.
- Familiarity with the concepts of linear referencing and
parcels as assemble in GIS.
