The Advanced Intelligence Solutions Operation (AISO) of SAIC is embarking on an exciting program expansion and has an opportunity for a GIS Developer for a key transformational Army Intelligence Program.

Development of Geographic information system (GIS) software and programs to create and maintain databases and/or maps to be combined with geographically referenced data, forming operational intelligence pictures. Meets with users to define data needs and to develop custom GIS solutions. Works on problems of diverse scope. Act as an advisor to teams within the division and become actively involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems. Play a key role in the developing and implementing GIS solutions. Frequently interacts with customers and intelligence analysts.

Bachelor's degree in a GIS, scientific or equivalent discipline and 5+ years of related experience. At least 2 years experience with ESRI ARC GIS Desktop (ArcView, ArcEditor, ArcInfo). Experience installing, managing, and developing web base mapping capabilities using the ESRI ARC IMS / ARC Server. Perform development of tools to be embedded within an ESRI based set of web services applications. Web-based Java Development Experience on a variety of Operating Systems (Linux (RHEL 4), and Windows Server 2003).

Experience with ORACLE databases and tools a plus.
